Engine

Below is an electric 7˝ inch gauge engine with a GP-35 shroud. This engine was fabricated by member, Sandy Drayer. The engine is equipped with commercial trucks. Each truck is powered with a one horsepower electric motor. A Curtis pulse width motor controller with dynamic braking supplies the torque and speed regulation. All wheels are powered. An automatic on board, heavy duty marine battery charger, keeps the two “deep discharge” 875 cranking amperes marine batteries in tip top shape. Sandy had to move and could not finish the installation of external fixtures for the engine. He will supply the stanchions and handrail fixtures. There is also a fan housing included.
